Try These Ways to Use Aromatherapy Candles

Using aromatherapy candles is an easy way to enjoy many of the benefits of floral essences and their effects. For instance, if you want something that calms and relaxes, try candles made with flower essences from lavender, jasmine, honeysuckle or chamomile. On the other hand, if you need to perk yourself up, use candles scented with mint, citrus or cinnamon. Vanilla can lend an air of romance, and some of the spices can help get you out of the doldrums. Blending scents can be done by some shops for customized effects, or you can make your own if you are the do-it-yourself type. If you don't care to mess with candle-making, try grouping different candles together to achieve a fragrance mix.

Have You Thought of an Aromatherapy Jar Candle as a Gift?

Aromatherapy jar candles are available at many "etailers" on the Internet. Some are large companies, but the large majority are small businesses... the "mom-n-pop" sites that have sprung up in recent years. Buying aromatherapy candles from them makes sense because it helps to support these small businesses, but also because you are more likely to receive personalized and reliable support should you need help. And these smaller shops have prices comparable to the larger stores.

Aromatherapy candles can relax or invigorate you!

Aromatherapy candles can be a gift of relaxation, appreciated by the recipient as a way to unwind and relieve stress. Others may find it invigorating or a way to improve mental clarity and alertness. Watching the flame gently flickering can help one to relax as much as the fragrance given off by the candle itself. A lot depends on the essential oil, or oils, used in the making of the candle. For example, it is well known that lavender and chamomile have a relaxing effect. Lemon can decrease feelings of stress by enhancing one's feeling of well-being and happiness.

Making your own aromatherapy candles as gifts... or to sell

If you've ever thought about creating aromatherapy candle gifts, there are no limits. Starting a business in a shop is expensive and time-consuming, but you may want to think about selling them on the Internet, from your own website. Or, if you like meeting and working with the public, but can't manage to open a store, consider selling your aromatherapy candle gift creations at local arts and craft fairs, flea markets, or the annual festivals held by many small towns. You may have to pay something to rent a booth at these events, but it may be worth it if the crowds are ready to buy your type of products.

Aromatherapy for Headaches?

Did you know that various oils can be used for headaches?

Some aromatherapy oils that may alleviate headaches include:

* Lavender
* Peppermint
* Eucalyptus
* Sandalwood
* Ginger
* Jasmine
* Rosemary

But remember you need to take into account how pure the oil is and what the delivery method is.

So if they're pure essential oils you only need a couple of drops in the water over a tealight candle burner and the aroma of the oil will fill the room.

Try it and let us know how you find it! :)
